A New Deal for the New South: Art in the Age of Jim Crow and the GreatDepression by Graham C. Boettcher, PhD, Luce Curatorial Fellow of American Art. Mar. 30, Su, 2 p.m. Dr. Boettcher will present a lecture on artists working in the Deep South from the onslaught of the Great Depression through the beginning of the New Deal. He will examine issues of race, poverty, and industry in art of the South during this period.
